Anita Cane Violins, pseudonimo di Valentina Iaconis, è una cantautrice e rapper comasca classe ’94. Da sempre amante del canto e della scrittura, avvia il suo progetto intorno ai 25 anni. Nel 2014, mentre studia alla facoltà di mediazione linguistica e culturale, intraprende gli studi di canto moderno con Irene Di Vilio e successivamente approfondisce il canto neo-soul con Arnaldo Santoro (in arte Ainé). Dal 2022 studia pianoforte con Paolo De Santis (Desanudo, Summit). L’amore per il soul, l’hip hop, il jazz e l’r&b è alla base della sua ricerca musicale, che parte da sonorità black e si fonde con una scrittura introspettiva. Dopo il singolo Sere d’estate, pubblicato nel 2020, esordisce nel 2022 con l’EP autoprodotto Intro-Versi, che vede alle produzioni Philipp Schulz, Michele Beneforti e lo stesso Ainé. Nello stesso anno viene selezionata per il progetto Locomotive Giovani, all’interno della 17ma edizione del festival diretto da Raffaele Casarano. Ha suonato sui palchi di Wow Festival (CO), Biko (MI), Mare Culturale Urbano (MI).

Valentina Iaconis, alias Anita Cane Violins, is a singer-songwriter and rapper from Como, Italy. Born in 1994, she has always been passionate about singing and writing. She starts her project around her 25s. In 2014, while studying at the faculty of linguistic and cultural mediation, she starts her singing studies with Irene Di Vilio and later she furthers her study of neo-soul singing with Arnaldo Santoro (Ainé). From 2022 she studies piano with Paolo De Santis (Desanudo, Summit). Her passion for soul, hip hop, jazz and r&b is the foundation of her musical research, which starts from a black sound and merges with an introspective writing. After releasing the single Sere d’estate in 2020, she debuts in 2022 with the self-released Intro-Versi EP, with productions by Meekeska, Michele Beneforti and Ainé himself. In the same year she’s selected for the Locomotive Giovani project, part of the 17th edition of Raffaele Casarano’s festival. She played on Italian stages such as Wow Festival (CO), Biko (MI), Mare Culturale Urbano (MI).
